Classroom:DePippo graduated magna cum laude in the spring of 2007 with a degree in childhood education and an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.75, she is currently pursuing her master of education degree in literacy with an extension in early childhood education. She is a three-time member of the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll and has made Long Island University dean's list.
Character:Prior to her junior year, she tore her right ACL in practice and was forced to miss the entire 2006 campaign. Last season, she returned and hit a career-high eight home runs as she helped the Blackbirds make their sixth NCAA Tournament appearance in nine seasons.
Competition:DePippo was the Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year in 2004 and was named to the conference's second team after batting .359 with 13 doubles and 27 RBIs. After her sophomore season she was named to NEC First Team , batting .313 with seven doubles. As a redshirt junior she set career highs in home runs (eight) and RBIs (36) and has helped her team advance to three NCAA Tournament appearances.
