Classroom:Megan has proven her tremendous abilities in the classroom as witnessed by her 3.86 career GPA while on track to graduate with a degree in psychology in the spring of 2008. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, an honors organization focused on excellence in liberal arts and sciences. Megan hopes to use the skills she has learned through studying psychology to go into the coaching profession after graduation.
Character:Rhodes has taken her role as a student-athlete at Tennessee and utilized that to become a leader on campus. She currently serves as a Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Representative at UT and a Peer Mentor Representative.
Competition:Owns a career record of 49-11 with a 1.45 career ERA and 543 strikeouts in 395. 1 innings of work with 19 career shutouts and three no-hitters. Her career strikeout-per-7 inn. ratio of 9.6 is good enough to rank her in the top 30 pitchers in NCAA career history. Is soon to pass former Lady Vol Stephanie Humphrey for second all-time at Rocky Top in strikeouts behind only four-time All-American Monica Abbott. Her career-best performance to this point was a 19-strikeout perfect game during the 2007 season against Oakland (Mich.). Started the 2008 season as Tennessee's ace with a 5-0 record in 10 appearances with a 0.91 ERA, two shutouts and 50 strikeouts in just 38.1 frames of work. Has limited the opposition to just a .161 batting average for her career in the Orange & White and a .129 mark thus far in 2008.
